Different student conduct processes: Duluth campus
The University of Minnesota-Duluth has a campus-wide student conduct procedure, managed by the Office of Student Conduct & Conflict Resolution and the Student Hearing Panel (SHP), that handles most complaints under Student Conduct Code. In certain circumstances, cases follow another procedure:
- Certain administrative units, specifically Housing and Residence Life, Kirby Student Center, and Recreational Sports and Outdoor Programs, also may maintain student conduct procedures for violations of their rules of conduct.
- Cases involving concerns related to Scholastic Dishonesty and Sexual Misconduct have different procedures.
- Cases involving Student Groups may have a both a Student Group case as well as individual student cases.
Regardless of the procedure, OSCCR is a resource for units in handling student conduct matters.
Ordinarily, reports concerning student behavior are made by faculty, staff, students, and police authorities. The standard of review used for decision-making is Preponderance of the Evidence.
